Conrad’s courage is the inspiration behind 353

A NEW non-profit venture led by the family of fallen Warwick paratrooper Conrad Lewis will be used to support servicemen and their families.

Killed by an insurgent sniper on February 9 this year, Pte Lewis was the 353rd British soldier to make the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan.

Inspired by his courage and positive outlook, Pte Lewis’ loved ones have set up 353 as a lasting tribute to the 22-year-old.

Speaking during the launch of 353 at the Warwick Arms Hotel on Tuesday night, Pte Lewis’ father Tony said: “It is honour in the right way, it needs to be a positive, pro-active force on the front foot but more importantly it needs to be long-term and sustainable, it’s not something we want to do now and in a few months time forget about.
