Warwick and Leamington MP lends hand at district foodbank to help those in desperate need
Mr Western went to the Warwick Centre and helped pack food parcels. The Foodbank has thanked Matt on Facebook, adding that “his support is appreciated.”
It follows news from the Trussell Trust that more people than ever are expected to use a food bank over the next few months owing to the current crisis, and that many food banks across the UK have reported they are running low on essential food supplies.

Hide AdSpeaking about his visit, Mr Western said: “I was more than happy to help out with the great work the local food bank is doing for the community, especially in these challenging times. I would like to thank them and all other groups giving vital assistance on behalf of the whole of Warwick and Leamington.
“People need support all-year round, but now, even more people will be needing our help – whether they are hungry, homeless, suffering from ill health, or are feeling lonely. I would urge the whole community to come together and support those in need by helping local charities in any way they can.”
